Full-time, 40 hours per week position are available, with flexible work hours.
Description of duties: Coordinates publication of conference proceedings products, including manuscripts and other digital media formats. Works with conference chairs and authors to ensure timely, accurate publication, while maintaining appropriate editorial standards and style. Compiles volumes and supporting data, prepares digital files, provides quality-checking and manipulation of PDF and video files, and assists customers with troubleshooting. Responsible for managing multiple competing deadlines, providing customer service to constituents, working within a complex database system, collaborating with other SPIE departments, and managing other projects as assigned.
Education & Experience: The preferred candidate has a minimum of two years’ experience in bringing publications from manuscript to finished product, or equivalent editorial or publishing project management experience; and a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Compensation includes: Competitive wage, annual discretionary bonus, defined contribution retirement plan with additional company match and paid-time-off plan beginning at 31 days per year.
