Facilities Coordinator

Full-time, 40 hours per week position available, with flexible work hours.

Description of duties

Who we’re looking for: An amazing, smart, talented person to join our Operations team. The Operations team is primarily focused on maintaining a safe, clean and comfortable working environment for staff through the skilled care and upkeep of SPIE headquarters and grounds.

Our experience wish list: Strong people skills and good communication skills are a must. Competency in a variety of plumbing, electrical, and carpentry skills will be an assist. Familiarity with sourcing and coordinating vendors and bids for facility related projects is an important aspect of this position; project management skills are a bonus.

Compensation includes: Competitive wage, annual discretionary bonus, defined contribution retirement plan with additional company match and paid-time-off plan beginning at 31 days per year.

Education & Experience Requirements: Associates or equivalent, relevant experience is required. 3-5 years of facility maintenance experience. Valid Washington State Driver’s License, with good driving record required. Strong computer skills, Outlook, Office, and Excel.   Some project management experience as well as familiarity in scoring vendors and bids. Shipping and receiving experience are a plus. This is a hands-on role and candidates must be able to lift 25-50 pounds on a regular basis.

Must be able to read reports and use computer. Must be able to hear well enough to communicate clearly with co-workers and customers. This position involves a great deal of standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing, reaching and balancing.
